Item Description:

This is a dainty Limoges porcelain 2-handled cup and saucer set.
They are original, antique unpainted Limoges blanks. Perfect for a porcelain painter or beautiful as is!

The elegant original mold features raised relief along the beautifully detailed handles and along the ruffled edge of the saucer.
They are marked with with the Basset Limoges Austria Mark.
This mark was used between 1890 and 1963 by George F. Bassett & Co., an importer. The company was founded in New York City by George W. Bassett in 1874. His son, George F. Bassett, and E.F. Anderson took over the business in 1879. The company had a factory in Limoges and may have had one in Austria.(From Kovel's book of marks)
