EXQUISITE SIGNED WATERLILY LIMOGES LARGE PLATE

Item Description: This is a RARE and STUNNING antique Limoges porcelain plate with a beautiful scene of waterlilies floating in the water! The waterlilies are enhanced with raised enameling.
It is signed by the artist, "L.Labauer" (? hard to make out), on the front. The edge is scalloped and heavily gilded. The gilding is 99% intact.
It is double marked (more valuable) Demartine & Cie Limoges France (Avenir) and with the Limoges France Mark.
The Marks dates it 1891 to very early 1900's.


Size: 9 3/8"


Condition: VERY GOOD. There is one short very fine surface scratch (doesn't even go through the paint) at approximately 11:00 in the background area above the biggest leaf. Also, on the back near the back mark is a firing flaw (this does not affect value). No chips or cracks.
