Item Description: MAGNIFICENT and RARE!! This is one of the most stunning Limoges fish service sets!!!
This set includes the HUGE fish platter (big enough for any fish tale), the gravy boat with underplate and 12 chargers!!
They are signed by the noted Limoges factory approved artist, “Leon” on the front.
Each pieces features fish and sea grasses. Note the subtle differences in each piece.
The elegant edges have raised relief detail and are heavily gilded. The gilding shows almost no wear except the handle of the gravy boat does show some light normal wear.
They are double marked (more valuable), with the Coiffe Mark 3 and the Lewis Straus & Sons Mark 1. This combination of marks dates this set 1890 to mid 1920’s!

Size: Huge Master Platter- 24" x 11 5/8"
Gravy with tray- 9 3/8" long x 6 1/2" wide
Chargers- 9 5/8"

Condition: I was told this set was never used and set in a cabinet for as long as could be remembered, and it looks like it. The only problems noted are: extremely light wear here and there (if you tab on the individual pictures they will enlarge. And 2 of the chargers have a backside only edge chip.
