Item Description: This is a fabulous antique W.G. and Co. Limoges porcelain handled candy tray with beautiful burgundy cabbage Roses and gilded scrollwork. The background colors are cream to yellows. This beauty is masterfully handpainted in 1904, by the artist, "L.A.Corbett", as signed on the front.

This is one of my personal favorite molds. This tray was designed to serve guests treats. You simply put your forefinger through the handle and put you thumb on the flowered finial and it is most easy and elegant.
This tray has a beautiful hand painted gilded floral finial and raised floral detail at either end of the Victorian dish's mold. The edges are gilded as well and the gilding is intact. It is marked with the William Guerin mark which dates it 1891 to 1932. Mary Gaston's "Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges" valued these trays at $275.00 to $325.00 (pg 142&143), in the year 2000.
Size: 11" x 6"
Condition: Extremely good. There is a small chip on the underside of the floral finial, it is uder the gilding. Otherwise, no chips or cracks
