Item Description: GORGEOUS!!!

From the famous PICKARD Artist "Koenig" dated 1917!

This is an antique Victorian T&V Limoge hand painted scenic charger or tray. It features a bellowing stag (deer) on a rocky ledge overlooking a streamin the mountains, and two coyotes watching two birds flying overhead.

The effect is ethereal. Please look at the detail! Even the soft array of pastel colors as the sun rises or sets. It is signed on the front by the famous artist "Koenig", it is also dated on the back October 27, 1917. The edge is heavily gilded and shows almost no wear! Ths obviously has always been a treasured display treasure.

Carl Koenig worked for Pickard for several years before starting his own studio. It is double marked Koenig studio mark and with with the Tressemann and Vogt Limoges France Mark 10.

Also, if you search for Carl Koenig, you will see his artistry was a focal point of one of the most recent Pickard Collector's Conventions.

This tray is both stunningly beautiful and a worthy investment!
